Château la CommaraineA rebirth in the heart of the Pommard vineyards
In the heart of the village of Pommard, Château la Commaraine unfolds within a 9 acres Clos Monopole, classified as a Pommard Premier Cru. Here, the château, vineyard, and winery form a single estate, steeped in Burgundy’s history since the 12th century.
Following five years of restoration carried out with respect for its architecture and environment, La Commaraine has returned to its original purpose: to be a vibrant place, open to its village and deeply rooted in its land. Ancient stone, historic timber framing, and the expertise of Burgundian artisans now engage in a dialogue with a clean, luminous contemporary design.
Its 37 rooms and suites, two restaurants, spa, gardens, and working winery invite you to experience Burgundy from a new perspective: from your room, at the table, in the vines, or alongside the people who bring the estate to life.

GastronomyA true taste of place
At Château la Commaraine, our cuisine is conceived as an extension of the vineyard. Born from the vision of Chef Christophe Raoux, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, it is brought to life each day under the direction of Chef Jérôme Rioux.
At Le Clos, overlooking the winery, Burgundian cuisine is reimagined with a modern, generous and vibrant approach. Regional classics meet contemporary influences in a warm and relaxed setting.
Set within the Château’s historic vaulted cellar, Le VIII offers a more intimate and immersive experience. Its name refers to the eight individual plots that make up the Clos, each carefully studied and vinified with precision. Here, the cuisine draws inspiration from the land, the seasons, the vineyard and its wines.
